Steel coil- a finished steel product such as sheet or strip which has been wound or coiled after rolling. In the light of experience gained during these years, ANSON classifies steel coils into hot and cold- rolled types, or stainless steel coil, carbon coil and Galvanized Steel according to current products and international standards.
Galvanized coil produced when hot or cold rolled sheet or strip is coated with zinc, either by the hot-dipping or electrolytic deposition processes. Zinc coating applied by the hot dip method is normally heavy enough to resist corrosion without additional protective coating. Materials electronically galvanized are not used for corrosion-resistant applications without subsequent chemical treatment and painting, except in mild corrosive conditions, due to the thin coating of zinc. Galvanize is a pure zinc coating. A special heat-treating process converts the pure zinc coating to a zinc/iron alloy coating, and the product is known as Galvanneal. Galvanized sheet is used, e.g. in the automotive industry or in the production of roofing materials (e.g. flashing, guttering).
Galvalume steel is carbon steel coated with an aluminum-zinc alloy using a continuous hot-dip process, combining the corrosion protection and high-temperature resistance of aluminum with the formability and galvanic protection of zinc.
Colour coated steel coil is a bare metal substrate or corrosion resistant substrate that has had paint applied to both sides through a continuous coil coating process, which produces a uniform paint finish.
Steel sheet can be defined as metal thicker than foil but thinner than plate thickness. The gauge or thickness determines the designation of when metal foil becomes metal sheet and when metal sheet becomes metal plate. Thus, minimum sheet metal thickness is between 0.5mm maximum thickness is 6mm to be considered sheet metal.
Galvanized Steel Sheet is regular steel sheets that have been coated in zinc to make them corrosion resistant.
Galvalume Steel Sheet is an aluminum-zinc alloy-plated steel sheet developed by the Bethlehem Steel Corporation in the US. The plating consists of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon.
Also known as pre-painted steel, the manufacturing process of color coated steel sheet involves applying a decorative coating (liquid paint) to a coiled steel form. This paint coating protects the steel from atmospheric corrosion while giving it more strength and enhancing the durability.
Roofing sheets are manufactured from a range of materials, each known for their varying properties and applications on different types of roofs. Choosing the right roof sheet can increase the longevity and durability of your roof. Different types of roof sheets come with their own unique set of pros and cons.
Pattern Color Steel Coil is a kind of color coated steel product available in various patterns. Due to its pretty appearance, convenience, and excellent corrosion resistance, it is widely used in home appliances, furniture, and building decoration in recent years.
