Wall tie Full-time Job

A wall tie is used to tie the internal leaf and external leaf constructed of bricks, blocks or structural framing with a brick façade. The tie is placed in the cavity wall during construction and spans the cavity. Each end of the tie is specifically designed to embed into the mortar at a minimum depth of 50mm at each side.
For buildings constructed before 1970, mild steel wall ties were used as best practice. Due to the nature of the product, homeowners are now finding that the wall ties have begun to degrade causing various issues such as; cracking in brickwork, mortar blow out and unstable external leaves. These old wall ties can be replaced with remedial wall ties which is a fairly common procedure, either as a DIY project or a professional service. As Industry requirements dictate, ACS use stainless steel in all wall ties as standard, ensuring our product does not corrode or cause any issue with brickwork in the future. Historically, fish tail wall ties and butterfly wall ties were the go-to product in the construction industry, unfortunately, the extremely sharp edges on these types of wall tie meant that a redesign in the product was required. ACS Stainless Steel has led the innovation of wall ties for over 20 years, working closely with UCAT (now part of Unite) to abolish the manufacture and use of dangerous wall ties to be superseded with the first safety tie, designed and manufactured by ACS.
Fastener nuts are internally threaded devices that are typically used in combination with equally threaded bolts to produce a joining of two or more components. Standard inch and metric fastener nuts are available in a wide range of sizes, strengths, materials and finishes and aid in securing a joint from loosening due to vibration. Fastener Solutions offers a variety of nuts that are available in a selection of shapes, sizes, styles, grades, and plating. We will work with you to choose the most effective and durable product for your application. Our most common types of nuts and bolts are the hexagonal or square nuts with internal threads that screws on to a threaded bolt, but we stock everything from wing nuts to battery nuts. View our full inventory of products below. Within the realm of fasteners, nuts are a hardware component that feature a threaded hole. Most often paired with mating bolts, nuts may be used to secure multiple parts together through the means of thread friction, bolt stretching, and part compression. Coming in a variety of forms, different nuts may be procured to accommodate a range of assemblies and needs. To help you familiarize yourself with common options, we will provide a brief overview of the most widely used variations.
The Importance of Bracing for Plumb Walls
Metal braces are your best option to ensure the straightest wall possible. They offer a higher level of consistency since wood itself is not always straight, which can affect the wall. They are easy to use and can be installed much more quickly than wood bracing. Metal systems also have a much longer life expectancy than wood since they can be used over and over again. In addition, adjustments can be made easily after the concrete is poured with metal bracing. With wood bracing this can be difficult and dangerous,Plumbing the walls is one of the very last things to be done on an ICF project. Always stack corners to plumb but intentionally lean wall segments inward 1/4” towards the bracing. Since plumbing brace is typically installed on the inside of the walls only, this is done incase the wall bulges towards the bracing. It is much easier to push a concrete wall outward rather than pull it inward.
What is Aluminium Formwork and Advantage
Aluminum Form Tie is a construction system which is for formingthe cast-in-place concrete structures of a building. It is also a system for controlling and scheduling the work of other construction trades such as steel reinforcement, concrete placement, and electrical and mechanical conduits,Aluminium Formwork system is highly suited for load-bearing wall construction whereas traditional formwork consists of Plywood and timber is not suitable for high pressure of fresh concrete on the wall. The advantage of this technology are that it is fast, simple, adaptable and cost effective. It produces total quality work with requires minimum maintenance and when durability is the prime consideration. This system is unique as all the components in a building including walls, columns, beams, staircase, slabs, floors and window hoods are concrete and there is no need for masonry. The Full Tie and Nominal Tie both is made from high strength steel to ensure consistent quality. The ultimate load can be 7500LBS. The Wedges and Pins are both treated with heat treatment. That makes the products much more stronger.
High tensile tie rod connector
A high tensile rod connector is provided that includes a first section having an internally threaded surface and a second section having an internally threaded surface. The threads of the first section mate with the threads of the second section. A pair of first flanges is rigidly coupled to the first section and extends outwardly therefrom. Similarly, a pair of second flanges is rigidly coupled to the second section. A series of bolts extends from the first flanges to the second flanges. The bolts are adapted to removably couple the first section to the second section. The first and second sections may be located on a damaged tie rod and secured thereto, thereby repairing the damaged tie rod without removing tension therefrom.
